Hello everyone!
The following is an update from the CIW:

First, a reminder to check in on the websites, especially the CIW one at www.ciw-online.org, for constant updates from the frontlines of the 2004 Taco Bell Truth Tour!

The Tour has gotten off to a great start and the student-organized National Days of Action haven't missed the beat! Here are a few highlights:

Hundreds rallied in Santa Cruz, CA, on Friday just hours after farmworkers and allies finished up our 8-mile march and rally in Louisville, KY, with the wonder of cell phones allowing us to keep both groups updated to the day's excellent protest work.
Students at Fordham University in New York City held a protest and flyered to over 200 people at a Taco Bell Friday, after holding an amazing campus forum with a skit and presentations on Thursday!

In Sarasota, FL, students at New College carried out an action at several Taco Bells involving street theatre and radical cheerleading!

Students at Harvard University gave presentations and are planning actions for later in the week!

If you've done an action, or if you're planning one soon, be sure to let us know! Things are rocking and rolling on the Truth Tour, but internet access is sporadic at best, so call our cell phones to keep us posted! Farmworkers on the Taco Bell Truth Tour are excited and animated, and we're keeping everyone posted about student actions - everyone's psyched to hear of the great solidarity work going on. Toss out a hot "Si se puede!" to all of your student groups from the Truth Tour participants!
