There were at least twenty non-combatants killed in Jenin. A few examples, A disabled man that was run over in his wheelchair by an Israeli tank, another handicapped man that was crushed in his home when the Israeli army demolished it on top of him ( despite the pleas of his family, to be allowed to go in and get him out ), a nurse who was shot to death by the Israeli army, although she was obviously un-armed and was wearing a white nurses uniform with a red cross on it. The nurse was trying to help a wounded and dying civilian. After she was gunned down, her sister tried to drag her into their house and she was also shot repeatedly. Her sister, the nurse, died beneath her and her husband had to drag her into the house to save her life. He was almost killed doing so. This woman is so depressed after this incident that she no longer wants to live. I guess the loss of these lives is "just war". Let's move beyond such callous attitudes and see the suffering of human beings in these debates. We all want an end to the violence. More violence and repression will not end the violence.
Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have investigated and documented incidents such as those that I mention above. Of course they have also strongly condemned suicide bombings because they are also terror against civilians. See their websites at www.hrw.org and www.amnesty.org. Also see www.btselem.org , an Israeli human rights group.
