Thank-you to the organizers for a great event.
SAA dock was closed.
And thanks to the OPD for not shooting us today like they did last year.
It is indeed a strange time when we are thankful for the lack of brutality all too common when we express our constitutional rights.
Today I met a man (a teacher, about 50) who was shot last year who suffers hearing loss from the wooden dowel he took to the back of the head. He told me of being attacked without warning, running for quite a distance (a mile or more), while the OPD continued to shoot at him.
The UN has recognized the abuse in its first negative report on the USA in 5 years. When will mayor brown see the injustice and move to compensate the victims of the OPD's excesses?
I'm disgusted I once trusted him.
We need to get out and show Bush Co. and the PNAC and others we do not agree whenever we can. I say it not the new American Century we look forward to, but the new century of the people.
And thanks to all who showed up in Oakland today!
