His motives had more to do with Saddam trying to kill his father, the criticism Bush Sr. got for "not finishing the job" and oil. Shrub Jr. invaded Iraq because he knew it was weakened and he thought he could get away with it. Israel's interests were very low on his list.

Israel, on the other hand, has a lot more reason to support the War against Iraq than any other country. Iraq attacked Israel in '48 and Iraqi soldiers were quartered in Deir Yassin overlooking and firing on the traffic on the road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Iraq fired SCUD missiles into Israel in '91. And up until a year ago, Saddam Hussein was passing out $25,000 reward checks to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. Oh, and Iraq has been technically at war with Israel for decades.
