how to get involved in the movement to stop the execution. With only a few weeks left before the execution date, your help is urgently needed. Please join us in the fight to save Stan's life.

Stan Williams co-founded the L.A. Crips in 1971. In 1981, he was convicted of murder by a jury from which all Blacks had been removed. Standing before a racist system, without adequate funds or competent counsel, he had no real chance of demonstrating his innocence during his trial.

While in prison, Stan began writing books de-glamorizing gangs and prison life for children and young adults. Because of this work, he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times.

Tookie has try to right his wrongs but he has created an irreversible situation. Co-founding the Crips has caused thousands to suffer through the years, mostly black on black crimes. Have you or your family been a victim of a crime committed by a Crip? Have you lost a friend or family member at the hands of a Crip? Would you be so supportive if a Crip took the life of your mother, father, child, etc? We have kept Tookie alive a long time and at great expense. For that, he should be thankful.

My heart goes out to "Tookie". He changed his life and still was not acknowledged for it. I believe the Governor didn't grant him clemacy because he wants to stay in office for other years.To everyone who beleived Tookie should have lived we as aworld need to stick together and make a difference. I think it's sad that in the year 2005 that a black man is put to death based on circumstantial evidence nearly 25 years ago where the prosecuting attorney was proven a racist and a liar and had railroaded black men in past cases. Mr Williams had every right to be retried and given a fair trial. The witnesses against him have admitted they lied because of coercion by police officers. Many people have forgotten the brutality that blacks suffered with the LAPD several years ago and are still faced with today. To kill this man was a crime against humanity and America with it's double standards, racist practices and attitudes will pay in the long run. This is why the world hates America and laughs at us- we try to fool everybody but we're just like glass and everyone sees right through the hypocracy. Remember Rome- it fell!!!!

Hello my name is Sophia Thompson I am 14 years old and I think execution is NOT a very good thing to do. Stanley Tookie Williams was a very good man he did not desire to be execution. Just because you found the founder of the Crips does not mean that there would be no more crips. Everyday a person joins a gang.Weather it's the Crips or the Bloods. I am very young and I know alot of bloods and crips and I know why most people join gangs is becuase they think that is the only way they can live and know that they are safe on the streets. Some people don't see it as others but growing up with out a dad and your mom using drugs. and you are use to takin care of your self.People on the street look out for you more than your family.
