On Sunday, July 4th, an Abu Ghraib Prisoner will appear in downtown Santa Cruz at the Del Mar Theater to speak to moviegoers at Farenheit 9-11. The unprecedented success of the movie has brought the 'prisoner' forward to call for criminal consequences for Donald Rumsfeld, and for any other Bush official found to be complicit in the Iraq torture scandal.
The 'prisoner' has said, "the shock and awe campaign that targeted Baghdad was an act of torture itself, and set a tone for hatred and abuse of Iraquis that led to the scandal at Abu Ghraib. The people and prisoners of Iraq know that this torture and abuse was designed and approved from far up the chain of command, and we call for justice at all levels."
The 'prisoner' will appear at the afternoon and the early evening showings in torture dress. His/her name is being withheld for security reasons.

'Abu Ghraib prisoner'
with the crowds at the Del Mar Theater, outside the Michael Moore Film, doing education and motivating folks to take action!! - others will be
there with signs and flyers as well - this is an action, not an appearance by an actual former prisoner!!! - thought that was clear!
it was already done earlier this week and the response from the moviegoers was very sober and quiet - it seemed very thought provoking
peace!

Yes, sleep deprivation is used by the U.S. government as a form of torture around the world, and it was also documented as a form of torture at Abu Ghraib.
