At our latest Human Rights Organization meeting it was pointed out that there may be parallels to be drawn between torture at Iraqi prisons and the sleep deprivation imposed on homeless people here in Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz it is illegal to sleep or cover up with a blanket between 11PM and 8:30 AM anywhere on public property. Is sleep deprivation one of the techniques used at Abu Ghraib? It would be interesting to see a comparison drawn at the demonstration.
