Critical Mass is definitely not "childish" behavior. Iseenothing child-like about feeling a deep and profound concern for our society, health and environment; as well as demonstrating the courage and commitment to act on these feelings. Even when it means possibly being attacked (verbally or otherwise) by some ignorant fat-ass who couldn't extract his butt from his car fast enough to catch us. C.M. is a political and social statement intended to disrupt the flow of cars for just a few moments (only 15 bikes on Friday) - hopefully long enough to give the car people a moment to think about getting out of their personal pollution creators. What's really childish is some of the behavior I've seen from the car people -- honking, cussing, pointing with their middle finger -- all because they have to sit and wait an extra 60 seconds at an intersection!! And I thought they liked their cars. I doubt if Rick can even ride a bike.
