We are looking for dynamic, informative, and inspiring speakers to talk about the need for independent media and how having more local media voices in our community can help us in our local struggle.

In fact, as supporters of independent media, this might be the hardest struggle we face: convincing people who don't feel they are part of the fringe that their struggle for freedom, autonomy, and self-sufficiency is ours and vice versa. We want to truly connect with our neighbors' concerns about controlling our own water, our own lives, our own media and information.

We hope to have speakers from Felton FLOW, Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In, Santa Cruz Indymedia, and maybe Santa Cruz Free Radio or SCRAM.
