I actually think it's even funnier now: especially since I went back and PURGED MY ARTICLE from their data base.
My point is that they I've experienced real-time censorship on the NYC newswire more than once - and I might add that it began approximately the same time as the first serious trouble in Fallujah: when J. Paul Bremer closed down the newspaper El Hawza. I also found that you can wait awhile (somewhere between 2 and 48 hours) the newswire will begin to behave normally.

My point is, I have seen other newswires, bbs systems, forums, newsgroups under siege for purely political reasons so many times that the behavior of the NYC wire indicates to me that is is periodically compromised.

You'll note that the dc site was not capable of posting anything in the hours immediately after the coronation. Hard to say why with certainty - but take a good guess. Politics.

I personally will not stand for the compromise of 1st ammendment rights now when it is most important for people to speak out and be heard. So - I take offence and your use of the word "complaining". I happen to be in Santa Cruz at the moment - what I post will be here on on my own sites: unless it's an item related to the local activities elsewhere.
