Soviet Central Asia had the most advanced status for women's rights in the region. The billions of dollars the U.S. poured into funding the Islamic holy war against women's rights and literacy in Afghanistan not only created the worst regime for women's rights in the world, it also aided in bringing on the capitalist counter-revolution in the Soviet Union. This has brought on a situation where healthcare, education, women's rights, and life expectancy have all dramatically declined in what was Soviet Central Asia.

U.S. intervention has created, and keeps in power, governments throughout the region that are hostile to women’s rights. Blaming Arabs for male governments that do not treat women well is like blaming the Croatian people for the Ustashi government of Nazi occupation. Ultimately Tito united the different nationalities and led the popular communist revolution against Nazi occupation that created Yugoslavia.

Ending U.S. military aid to all of the repressive regimes in the Mid and Far East would aid the people of the region in making their own revolutions against their oppressors. To the degree these revolutions are secular and socialist, women’s rights will advance. Within this context capitalist Israel with its racist hate for all who are not European Jews, has nothing to offer the women of the region except more bloodshed.
