*Tough Love*

"Soldiers today are scum, who wouldn't deserve to serve under my grandfather anyway. Anyone who joins the US military today, is agreeing to kill innocent people for no good god damn reason."

How many soldiers do you know? I think you've been watching to much Michael Moore, such blanket statements coated in ignorance really aren't stirring arguments.

"Sure, I agree that people should make their own decisions. But you should take into account how many people will be affected by this decision. If we prevent people from joining the military the war machine will run out of meat."

But what right do you have in denying people the choice? We live in a democracy where people think differently, some people think we are achieving peace and freedom by waging war in Iraq.

What if you were forcibly denied to voice your opinion by a large group, just because it's in the minority, is that something you'd enjoy?

A proper response in a civilized society is to let your voice be heard, and make your point with reason and fact, not with a mob.
