Courage? Burglars are courageous too. I'm sure it takes guts to break into someone's home. Doesn't redeem the burglar though.

Discipline? Have you been reading the news? Wanton prisoner abuse, gratuitous trigger-happy shooting rampages, young punks in Bradleys talking about what a rush it is to crank up some metal tunes and go smashing civilian cars. "I'd get arrested back home for doing this!" was the quote.

Honor? Honorable men would refuse criminal orders. Honorable men would accept responsibility for their own actions, instead of claiming they were "just following orders". Honorable men wouldn't kill women and children, bomb TV stations and weddings, openly murder hostile journalists, or engage in crude humiliation of enemy captives.

I see no honor in America's soldiers. I see petty thugs, bullies, and sociopaths who would be arrested for smacking around women, getting into drunken bar brawls, and stealing cars or sticking up the corner liquor store, if they had stayed home.

Perhaps I should be grateful. If it weren't for the military, these predator scum would still be here in the states. At least over in Iraq, a thousand of these maniacs have now been killed. Iraqi civilians don't just bend over and take it like American civilians do.
