hey "Anonymous Poster" I've asked you two questions, one of them has not been answered.
I'll ask again:
1) Could you please explain what you mean by "this issue."
"I just don't think that local actions happening on the other side of the country neccessarily deserve front-page action here in santa cruz. indymedia.us - fine - indymedia.org - fine. But I feel like sc indymedia should retain its emphasis on local and regional struggles."
i think it is fantastic that santa cruz indymedia has coverage of actions going on around the world. It is nice to know that santa cruz indymedia is an important resource "beyond the bubble" of santa cruz. As for indymedia.us and indymedia.org, it did have coverage of this action.... but only after the SC-IMC feature was syndicated into the right column of those websites.
"If you check out the front page of sc indymedia right now, you'll see that the article on ALF's actions is the only one that does not pertain to local/regional struggles. Now, if there was some text connecting the actions in PA to something in the wider sc community, that'd be fine - but it doesn't have that connection."
You claim to be "down with the struggle" and this is fantastic... but you really don't understand the issues at all if you fail to understand how animal torture in PA and resistance to it relates to us humans that frequent SC-IMC. Animal torture is certainly not limited to Quakertown, PA.
We are all a part of this sick system and we are all responsible for bringing it down.
