Migration is a characteristic of humans and animals. Nothing is ever static. Everything shifts with time. The concept of borders or private property was foreign to Native people. To us, attempting to own land was as abstract as attempting to own the air or sun. Native people on both sides of your artificial border have always engaged in exchange of traditions and culture. Ancient paths, such as El Camino Real, connected Native people from North and South to East and West. Native Peoples from the North borrowed many traditions from the South such as ceremonies and agricultural techniques (maize was a introduced by the Maya to the Anasazi). Native people on both sides of your artificial border are one nation. Your artificial policies and lines of demarcation will soon fade, just like empires before you. Words from assimilationist, xenophobic minutemen, and neo-conservatives mean nothing. Resistance will continue. Those who fear terrorism should look at their current government who is dismantling the constitution as you read these lines. No human is illegal, what is illegal is your concept of humanity.
