The FBI did a thorough job gathering information that resulted in last month's indictment of Larry Franklin. So good, that Larry is ready to plead guilty and sing. Everyone wonders which arias he'll perform. During the run-up to the war in Iraq, Larry played a role in the chorus that took the media by storm with news of WMDs. He was in the right place at the right time to make a big difference, and in close proximity to the major players: including Karl Rove.

Early last year, Jane Mayer of The New Yorker published a definitive article about the recent career of Ahmed Chalabi, The Manipulator. She describes an encounter between weapons sleuth Scott Ritter where The Manipulator exhausts his dwindling credibility with Ritter: but Chalabi has somehow managed to craft his vision into a current reality, exceding even his own expectations.

That set in motion the year-long bus boycott in Montgomery. It earned Rosa Parks the title of 'mother of the civil rights movement.' ''
