Take Back the Night Photos

On the night of Thursday, May 19, the UCSC community 'Took Back the Night' from various forms of violence, especially violence against women.
This year's march had a different feel than in previous years due to the wheelchair friendly route, the inclusion of men, and the continued expansion of the definition of 'violence'.

Take Back The Night marches are held internationally in all parts of the world. Thursday, May 19th 2005 join together to raise awareness about violence against women and to reclaim the night as a safe space. 6 PM rally at Baytree Plaza on UCSC Campus.

Homophobic Vigilantes Chased from TSU Rutgers

On the night of April 22, a gang of homophobes harassed and attempted to assault participants at TSU Rutgers. Anti-fascists confronted and repelled them. Later that night they returned, but instead of a "hippie love-fest," they got more than they bargained for.
