I am a lucky Arab

While on these pages many call Israel an apartheid state despite its population being diverse both racially and religiously. Here is a story of an Arab man and his family that did not flee in 1948 despite the calls on the radio at the time by Arab leaders to do so. Let me remind indymedia readers that Israel today is 20% Arab-Israeli and these Arabs vote and full citizenship rights. Nor are they required to convert to Judaism. This is just one story, though sadly, the author it unknown.

Arabs try to brake campaign for sanctions on Sudan

In an article by Reuters news service, the Arab League announces opposition to the proposed sanctions against the Islamic Arab government in Sudan that is engaged in what many call genocide against both the Black Christians in the south and against moderate Islamics in the Darfur.

Many groups have called for Secretary of State Colin Powell and President George W. Bush to use the "g" word to describe the conflict. Washington has thusfar balked because declaring that genocide is occurring in Sudan requires the USA to intervene in some way. Sudan is not an oil-rich region like Iraq.

While Israel is roundly criticized on all occasions, the Arab countries prefer a low profile for Arab on Arab violence.

An accurate definition of the enemy

No enemies? Oh, if it were only true. But until then, what about those guys who are trying to kill us ---the Americans, that is.

Remember September 11th? Those guys! Guess what? They still want to kill us. You can think up all sorts of reasons why they SHOULD want to kill us. But it's kind of like the beaten wife who tries to think of all the good reasons why her husband beat her. And she resolves to keep a cleaner house, bake him his favorite chicken-pot-pie and to not talk back to him, ever again. You see?

We (in the Peace movement) are kind of like her. We want to say that September 11th was an angry response to years of US exploitation of Arab countries. And that we deserved it somehow. And if we only stop our colonialist US hegemony and vast exploitation of Arab resources ----Golly gee!! Peace will break out all over. Those grateful Arabs will beat their swords into plowshares and Halliburton can just go begging.

I hate to break it to you. The Arabs don't want our aid, our technologies, or our peaceful commerce. They want to kill us. Convert or die.
That has always been the message of Islam to anyone who is not Islamic. Sure, Sure there are a lot of peaceful things too--but those rules are for how an Islamic should treat another Islamic. There are a different set of rules for how Islamics must treat infidels.

Remember that on September 11th, there was spontaneous dancing and celebrations in Gaza and the West Bank. While Americans were crushed, burned, or dropped to their deaths -- the Iraqis and the Palestinians danced in the streets.

They still dance and celebrate every time there is a grisly suicide bombing inside of Israel with massive loss of civilian life.

Daniel Pipes, a pro-Israeli writer, has written on the findings of the 9/11 Commission and how they characterized the nature of the threat facing America today.

The Lies from the PA

In this New York Times article, Joseph Berger reports on an incident where a Palestinian terror group was setting up a rocket in front of a Palestinian home in order to launch rockets over the fence and into Israeli settlements. The family objected, only to be fired upon with the resulting death of a 15 year old Palestinian boy. Guess who gets the blame for his death? Israel!!

This is not an isolated incident. When a Palestinian man rapes and beats his wife, he will report that his wife was raped and beaten by IDF soldiers. Then useful idiots like the ISM pick up the banner and condemn Israel for their violence.

This happens all the time.

Here is just one, well-documented incident in which Israel is blamed for Palestinian upon Palestinian violence.
