THE WORLD TRADE CENTER FIRES (NOT SO HOT, EH?).
First you need to know that the north tower of the World Trade Center suffered a very serious fire on February 13, 1975. You also need to know that this fire caused no serious structural damage to the tower and that no steel-framed high-rise has ever collapsed due to fire. "Witnesses and the victim himself claimed that a man named Sasha was struck in the face with a club. The perp was allegedly a SCPD officer named Mark Eveleth--who has a bad reputation downtown and in the experience of at least one civil liberties attorney (Kate Wells).
I believe some of that testimony was archived at

A few more pictures on Monday night's police action at Tent University.
Administrators used the Tent U. actions as an example to the growing radical movement at UCSC's campus: from kicking recruiters out, to shutting down the campus for a day, April has been an amazing month.
Keep in mind that terrible police brutality has been happening in many communities for a long-long time and has never gotten the type of coverage that the Tent U. actions received.
