US military recruiters, who were forced out of a UC Santa Cruz job fair by a rowdy demonstration six months ago, returned to the campus for the first time Tuesday, amid loud, disruptive protests. But as FSRN's Vinny Lombbardo reports, UC officials were determined to prevent another shut down of the campus job fair. 3:58

sponsered by the Brown Berets, quite literally tookover certain streets in Watsonville.

On October 18, military recruiters returned to UC Santa Cruz for the first time since they were rallied off campus by Students Against War on April 5, 2005. Students Against War organized a protest and hundreds of people rallied and marched to the College 9/10 Dining Hall. The Military and UC held the career fair on the second story of the building and had numerous police officers and administrators guarding the stairs and entrance to the career fair.

Jason Pascal, an African-American Tarot card reader, who frequently can be found on Pacific Avenue at a table in front of Uptown Jeans, was ticketed three times on Tuesday, October 18th, and jailed.
