2006. That has such a profound meaning to me. To start it means the beginning of my 6th year. It means come April, if I don't go to the hole, I'll have exactly 15 years left.

2006. Seven years since the pinnacle of this movement in Seattle. Seven years for things to get worse.

2006. Another year to try again. To hope and watch each sunrise with a sense of anticipation. Could this be the year? Could tomorrow be the day?

Peace Friday happens every Friday from 5pm-6PM in front of O-Niel's surf shop on Pacific Avenue in downtown Santa Cruz. It has been happening since at least 2002, when the Bush admnistration first started preparing for war. This week we were joined at the corner by "The TV From Hell" puppet show.

This video includes interviews from evacuees in NY and those who've returned to New Orleans. This issue is currently effecting the lives of thousands of people and it's still not too late to help put pressure where it needs to be put to force the goverenment to deal with these people properly.

There were a few thousand or so protesters on both sides of the abortion issue in SF on Jan 21, 2006.
