Students and Workers March in Solidarity to Santa Cruz Courthouse
As I type this, a loose coalition of students and workers are gathering on the steps of the courthouse in Santa Cruz County after a successful march through town. Several causes have united to demand a re-alignment of priorities in government spending. They arrived at the courthouse at 1:30 for a rally. UCSC rep explains reasons for crackdown

Elizabeth Irwin, the PR representative for the UCSC administration spoke to a KION reporter in the wee hours of April 19th, following the arrest of 19 UCSC students at Tent University when they sat down together in a tent, linking arms and refused to leave after the 8PM “free speech� time had ended. Police also ripped down several tents which had been assembled for less than an hour.
