A call has been issued, by a small Australian peace group, to Santa Cruz folk along with everyone else, for a consumer boycott of all goods and services from the United States, Britain, Australia and their allies, and for everyone in these countries who is opposed to this war, to go slow economically in every way possible, until the war is over.

As soon as war begins, here in Santa Cruz we will meet
at the Town Clock at 5 p.m., followed by a march to the
County Buildings, where there will be 5 minutes of silence
followed by a rally.

Nonviolence trainings will take place there, and affinity groups will form. Opportunities for nonviolent direct action will be announced.

In less than 48 hours, thousands of bombs will barrage the country of Iraq, home to 22 million people.
